Daniel Farke's men were keen on a reunion this summer, but no doubt Rodon will want to test himself in the top English division, having excelled in the Championship, with Leicester admiring him from afar in the promotion race presumably.

Rodon could end up becoming the Foxes' very next Harry Maguire if everything goes to plan, with Leicester signing the 6 foot 4 titan for a similar fee to what is now being touted for the ex-Leeds loanee, winning the now Manchester United defender's services for £17m after a breakout spell with Hull City.
Rodon would be cheaper, however, and could go on to perform like a colossus in a similar fashion to the England international, if his last campaign is anything to go by.

Albeit whilst playing in the Championship, Rodon's numbers for last season better Maguire in a number of areas based on his 2018/19 showing, whilst also nearly matching up with the Man United centre-back in other aspects.

After the game, Martin singled the veteran out for praise. "He was massive today, (he has great with) long throws and the way he came and dealt with things. The last two weeks I’ve loved the way we’ve defended. I just don't think anything phases him. He has that laid-back mentality but he really backs himself as a goalkeeper. He has been fantastic."
Though Celtic may not be able to compete financially with the Premier League sides keen on signing McCarthy, they could be able to offer regular first-team football, while Newcastle and Liverpool are both largely on the hunt for a backup option.
He would likely have to take a cut on his wages though, with his £50,000 per week deal at Southampton putting him above the highest earners at Celtic (which is believed to currently be the £37,000 a week taken home by Callum McGregor).

Wolverhampton Wanderers currently sit just two points off Bournemouth in the race for a top-half finish in the Premier League this season.
It has been a solid debut campaign under Gary O’Neil, but they face both Manchester City and Liverpool in two of their remaining three games of the season, proving that it will be a difficult finish.
They could complete a league double over City should they emerge victorious, but whatever happens, O’Neil has a solid foundation to work with ahead of 2024/25. Add in a couple of excellent signings and there is no doubt he will be aiming for a European place.

The core of his starting XI has seen Wolves improve on their poor 2022/23 season. Hwang Hee-Chan and Matheus Cunha have done much of the heavy lifting from an attacking point of view, while Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina have added some solidity to the midfield.
Moving to a back three has worked wonders, as outside the top six, the Old Gold currently have the joint second-best defensive record.
Craig Dawson, Max Kilman and Toti Gomes have been the three regulars at the heart of the defence, with the Portuguese defender showing the biggest improvement.

Over the previous 365 days, Toti ranks in the top 3% for successful take-ons per 90 (0.68) and the top 6% for assists per 90 (0.10), proving that not only is he a player who has shown excellent defensive attributes this term, but he also has a forward-thinking mentality.

He made his debut during the 2018/19 season, taking no time at all to integrate into the first team picture. Since then, the defender has made 148 appearances for the senior side, scoring three goals in that time.

While they're set to go another season trophyless, Spurs have been exciting to watch, and if they seal a place in the Champions League group stage pot for 2024/25, you can say Postecoglou's debut campaign has been a success.
Chairman Daniel Levy appeared to make the right choice in selecting Postecoglou as Antonio Conte's replacement last summer, but van der Vaart actually wanted another forward-thinking boss in the Spurs dugout.
Van der Vaart says Spurs "need" a coach like Arne Slot
Speaking to 1908.nl, the former Lilywhites star said he was a big fan of Feyenoord boss Arne Slot for the job last year. The Dutchman guided Feyenoord to their first Eredivisie title since 2017 last year, and van der Vaart says Tottenham "need" a coach like Slot.
“I don't think so, at least I know that," said van der Vaart on whether Slot rejected Spurs.

“Spurs has chosen a different path, I know that. Although I would have liked Slot to be the one, because my Spurs heart says that that club needs such a trainer. He's [Postecoglou] a really nice guy. He also did well at Celtic and is now also doing very well at Tottenham."
Tottenham certainly won't have any regrets over picking Postecoglou over Slot, but if things don't work out with the 58-year-old in future seasons, perhaps he is someone they can turn to in the coming years.
"The best thing about Arne Slot is that he is probably the best attacking coach I have seen in the last 35-40 years at Feyenoord," said journalist Marcel van der Kraan to talkSPORT (via FFC).
"He is very similar to Pep Guardiola, his ideas are very similar, he is a massive fan of Pep and he plays the same time. He goes ultra-attacking, he is almost like a maniac. Not on the touchline but it is fantastic to see how he has turned an average side into a wonderful attacking machine."

No vídeo que gerou revolta, o influenciador tricolor falou o seguinte:
– Paguem às famílias, mulambos. Paguem às famílias das crianças que vocês fizeram de churrasquinho lá. Isso é o que importa na verdade. Futebol, se ganha e se perder dentro de campo. Ceifar a vida de dez crianças, só vocês, nenhum outro clube do mundo vai carregar isso.
