The PCB has announced that the DRS will be used for Pakistan’s series against Sri Lanka that starts later this month and for their one-day series against England early next year, and that Pepsi will be sponsoring the system, making them the first board to have a sponsor associated with the review system. The version of the DRS Pakistan will be using includes ball-tracking technology provided by Hawk-Eye.”PCB is pleased to be taking a leading role in the use of ICC-recommended technologies for international cricket,” Subhan Ahmad, the PCB’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. “We hope that other partner boards will follow the example of the PCB and use the umpire [decision] review system in their respective future series. The use of the UDRS will bring added value to our forthcoming series. We thank our sponsors Pepsi for once again supporting Pakistan cricket and the PCB in its many endeavours.”Pakistan’s decision to implement the DRS came on the same day the ICC ended the mandatory use of the system and reverted to its pre-June position, by which its use will be subject to bilateral agreements between the participating boards. However, the ICC said it will continue to use support the use of technology and welcomed the PCB’s decision.”We believe that using the Decision Review System will result in getting more umpire decisions correct and we accordingly welcome the PCB’s initiatives and that of its sponsors in securing its use in the upcoming series,” Dave Richardson, the ICC’s general manager – cricket, said. “The PCB has always led the way in supporting innovation. Its trials of a “pink/orange ball” in day/night conditions during its premier first-class matches is another example. These initiatives are much appreciated.”

Enquanto isso, Jair Ventura trabalha com a possibilidade de incorporar mais dois jovens ao elenco profissional do Santos: o volante Fernando Medeiros e o atacante Diego Cardoso, ambos oriundos do sub-23 do clube. Ambos estiveram na viagem ao México e participaram do treinamento desta sexta-feira.

Na atividade desta tarde, os dois garotos foram usados como coringas na disputa em campo reduzido de seis contra seis. O time vermelho foi formado por Vecchio, Guilherme Nunes, Yuri, Gabriel Calabrês, Robson Bambu e Arthur Gomes, recuperado de entorse no tornozelo direito. Já o time amarelo teve Diego Pituca, Luiz Felipe, Renato, Lucas Veríssimo, Vitor Bueno e Daniel Guedes.

O time laranja contou com Gustavo Henrique, Dodô, Jean Mota, Victor Ferraz, Alison e David Braz. Por fim, o time sem colete contou com Léo Cittadini, Gabriel, Eduardo Sasha, Rodrygo, Yuri Alberto e Copete. O Peixe volta aos trabalhos neste sábado.

كشفت تقارير صحفية، أن نادي ريال مدريد طالب لاعبه الكرواتي لوكا مودريتش، بضرورة الاعتزال الدولي من أجل تجديد عقده في النادي الملكي.

A equipe fez 1 a 0 no Sport, no estádio Presidente Vargas, em Fortaleza.

Com o resultado, o Vozão, enfim, venceu seu primeiro jogo nesta edição do Brasileiro, vai a oito pontos, mas segue na lanterna da Série A. Já o time do Recife permanece no sétimo lugar com 19.

O jogo

​Os primeiros minutos de partida foram de muita vontade dos dois lados, demonstrando que resguardar-se fisicamente não era uma opção de nenhum dos lados. Entretanto, mesmo com o ritmo sendo acompanhado pelo bom público presente, faltava precisão no chamado “passe final” ao Ceará e, em compensação, sobravam chegadas mais fortes e seguidas faltas quando o Sport se aproximava até mesmo da intermediária do Vozão.

Pesando o aspecto técnico, quem parecia mais perigoso quando tinha a bola sob seu domínio, mesmo sendo em menor tempo que o adversário, eram os pernambucanos. Não por acidente, aos 17 minutos, o volante Fellipe Bastos acertou um chute sensacional com muito efeito de fora da área e obrigou Éverson a praticar uma importante intervenção.

Com mais posse de bola, quando o assunto era resolver as jogadas o Ceará encontrava dificuldades por suas próprias limitações e também com o mérito da movimentação defensiva bem coordenada do Leão da Ilha. Mesmo com todas essas dificuldades, o Alvinegro de Porangabuçu ainda conseguiu chegar ao menos uma vez com relativo perigo à meta de Magrão em cruzamento de Felipe Azevedo em que Juninho passou perto de conseguir cabecear com firmeza.

Tendo a postura mais coerente nos 45 minutos iniciais, faltou finalizar mais a gol para o Sport, que conseguiu com Rafael Marques, em chute meio desequilibrado, assustar mais uma vez a defesa cearense antes do apito para o intervalo do árbitro cariocaGrazianni Maciel Rocha.

Segundo tempo

A empolgação do torcedor foi, aos poucos, carregando a equipe cearense A entrada do atacante Arthur também contribuiu para isso. As bolas aéreas passaram a ser bastante exploradas e foi dessa forma que o camisa 40 Alvinegro se sobressaiu para abrir a conta no Presidente Vargas.

Felipe Azevedo botou com categoria a bola dentro da grande área e o avante apareceu atrás dos zagueiros do Sport e venceu Magrão, levando a torcida a loucura.

Visivelmente “assustado” com o ambiente criado após o tento dos donos da casa, os pernambucanos passaram a errar bastante na saída de bola e cediam com muito mais facilidade à marcação anfitriã. Foi assim que Arthur chegou de novo ameaçando o gol de Magrão chutando forte, de longe, vendo a bola passar pela linha de fundo do lado esquerdo.

Depois do ritmo do Ceará cair, o Leão da Ilha foi se recolocando na partida e, com jogada rápida na finta de corpo feita por Andrigo, chutou cruzado, rasteiro, passando muito perto a bola da trave direita de Éverson.

Com o crescimento do Sport, as alterações do técnico Lisca foram todas voltadas a colocar zagueiros e recuar bastante o time da casa para resistir à pressão dos visitantes até o término do confronto para comemorar uma suada vitória.

Michael Clarke is confident Shane Watson will play the Boxing Day Test despite the allrounder suffering a calf injury in addition to his existing hamstring tear. And Clarke believes that even if Watson cannot bowl, there should be a place in the side for him as a batsman only.Watson was ruled out of the New Zealand series due to the hamstring problem, which he suffered while bowling during Australia’s win in Johannesburg last month. It has now emerged that Watson has also acquired what Clarke described as “a light calf strain”.”It’s probably put him a couple of days behind [in his rehabilitation] but we’re still confident he’ll be right for the Boxing Day Test match,” Clarke said in Hobart, as Australia prepared for the second Test against New Zealand.Australia are not only missing Watson’s experience at the top of the order but also his valuable swing bowling. At the Gabba, Australia had to rely on the gentle medium-pace of Michael Hussey and in Hobart that will again be the case after the allrounder Daniel Christian was left out of the side.Clarke said even if Watson was unable to bowl in the Boxing Day Test, which is two and a half weeks away, Australia would be likely to bring Watson, the vice-captain, back in for his batting alone.”I think that needs to be discussed with the selectors,” Clarke said. “I think his batting is still a very big part of our team, especially if he’s opening the batting – up the top of the order he’s been pretty consistent for us. If he’s just batting I can certainly still see him in our team but best-case scenario I would love him to be able to bowl as well because he’s had a lot of success with the ball, especially of late.”Watson was Australia’s best bowler in the Cape Town Test, where his fuller lengths and ability to curve the ball in the air was the key reason South Africa were skittled for 96.
