يعمل نادي ليفربول الإنجليزي على التوصل لاتفاق لتجديد عقد نجمه المصري محمد صلاح، حيث ينتهي العقد الحالي في يونيو 2023.

ويتألق صلاح مع ليفربول، وبالتحديد هذا الموسم، الأمر الذي دفع عدد كبير من الصحفيين واللاعبين السابقين لوصفه بكونه الأفضل في العالم في الوقت الحالي.

ليفربول لم يصل بعد لاتفاق لتجديد عقد محمد صلاح، ويقود وكيله، رامي عباس، المفاوضات وذكرت التقارير مؤخرًا أن صلاح يتطلع إلى كسب حوالي 400 ألف جنيه إسترليني في الأسبوع لتجديد عقده.

لم يقترب ليفربول أبدًا من دفع رواتب أي من لاعبيه بهذا القدر، لذا سيكون من المثير للاهتمام للغاية أن نرى كيف سيتعامل النادي الإنجليزي مع موقف صلاح.

ويمكن أن يكون لهذه المفاوضات تداعيات كبيرة على هيكل الأجور المعمول به في النادي، وسيواجه ليفربول صعوبات إذا أراد التعاقد مع نجوم أمثال كيليان مبابي أو إيرلينج هالاند على سبيل المثال. 

وفقًا لصحيفة “ذا تايمز” البريطانية، لم يتوصل صلاح ووكيله إلى اتفاق مع النادي ولم يُظهر ليفربول بعد أي استعداد لتلبية مطالبهم.

وأفاد التقرير أن التأخير في الاتفاق على عقد محمد صلاح الجديد يرجع إلى اختلاف في التقييم بين ما يستعد ليفربول لدفعه للمصري، وما يسعى صلاح ووكيله رامي عباس إليه.

وبعيدًا عن العواقب على هيكل أجور النادي، ينبغي على ليفربول النظر في الآثار التي قد تترتب على عدم إبقاء صلاح في النادي على الجماهير.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast’s Tom Ward, ex-Baggies midfielder Carlton Palmer has delivered his verdict on West Brom’s potential takeover, claiming that it’s unlikely to make much of a difference in their current predicament.

According to the ever-reliable John Percy at the Telegraph, investors from the United States are keen to purchase the Midlands outfit from current owner, Guochuan Lai, but are put off by the £150m price tag.

It’s claimed that negotiations are still ongoing between the two parties over either a full takeover or buying a minority stake of up to 15 per cent.

Lai bought Albion from Jeremy Peace in the summer of 2016 for £200m and has frequently been unwilling to fully invest in the playing squad, which has led to tensions between Slaven Bilic and the club’s hierarchy over their transfer strategy ever since the summer.

The Baggies recorded their first win of the season last week but there is still plenty of work to be done, something that a takeover could aid ahead of the January transfer window.

However, Palmer doesn’t see it this way.

He told FFC:

“With the takeover, it might make some difference with stability, but will it make any difference in terms of their spending power? I think not.

“When you’re in that position, you have to accept that you might be a yo-yo club for a season or two, rather than go for broke, break the bank and bring in six or seven players on ridiculous money and you get relegated.

“You have to be prepared to accept that and build the club stronger.”

Indeed, this has often been the case with some teams that have come up. You only have to go back to Fulham’s last stint in the top-flight to see the risk of throwing cash at staying up.

Cottagers chairman Shahid Khan splashed over £100m on a plethora of disastrous signings as they were sent back to the Championship after just one season, whilst the same nearly happened to arch-rivals Aston Villa last season.

Although, the Midlands outfit hold some pretty poor records in the Premier League right now as they are the division’s second-lowest goalscorers as well as having the second-worst defensive record.

A cash-injection could be exactly what they need to resolve some of their issues, but as Palmer says, the Baggies need stability above all right now.

Marcel Brands must deliver Leon Bailey to Everton next summer amid reports the Blues will scout the Bayer Leverkusen winger on Thursday night.

What’s the word?

According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees will have keen eyes fixed on Bayer Leverkusen’s Europa League Group Stage tie at home to Slavia Prague as they weigh up a potential 2021 move for the Jamaican.

Peter Bosz is expected to name Bailey in the starting line-up for the top of the table clash, with both sides vying for first place in Group C having already guaranteed their progression through to the Round of 32.

Bailey has become the figurehead of Leverkusen’s midfield following the departure of Kai Havertz in the summer, but has stepped into the Chelsea star’s shoes with five goals and six assists across all competitions.

The 23-year-old was forced to miss the start of the season after attending sprinter Usain Bolt’s birthday party in Jamaica, but hit the ground running to help guide the BayArena natives to sit just a point behind leaders Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings.

Only striker Lucas Alario (10) has netted more often for Die Werkself thus far this term, too, while a string of standout displays have sparked Everton, plus Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan to place Bailey on their radars.

The Toffees and Spurs were touted as potential destinations for the 23-year-old, who has never hidden his dream to play in the Premier League, this summer.

Bailey has been seen as a player on Brands and his scouting team’s radar for several months now, and will no doubt be one of the stars of the show when Bayer Leverkusen host Slavia Prague on Thursday.

Bailey has forever been lauded since breaking onto the scene in Germany back in 2017, with Ajax youth coach Ronald de Boer a known fan of the wing wizard.

“He’s so fast, it’s not normal. His speed, combined with his technique, is very rare. Exceptional. He has no weak points,” De Boer once noted.

Leverkusen head coach Bosz, too, can only wax lyrical over the 23-year-old’s abilities, claiming earlier this season how Bailey is just getting better and better after a troublesome 2019/20 campaign featuring seven goals and three assists but two red cards and muscular injuries.

“Leon had it very hard, last year and early this season,” Bosz said after a win over Augsburg, in which Bailey set-up Moussa Diaby’s goal. “But I see that he gets better with every game – physically, but also in terms of his football.”

Brands faces a mammoth fee to lure a second Richarlison-type to Goodison Park, though, as reports this summer claimed Leverkusen had slapped a price tag of just over £40million on the 8-cap international who came close to joining Bayern Munich for £55m in 2018.

ساهمت صفقة مدتها خمس سنوات في النادي بقيمة 52 مليون جنيه إسترليني بشكل كبير في صافي ثروة صلاح الكبيرة، والتي تبلغ حاليًا حوالي 90 مليون دولار (66.9 مليون جنيه إسترليني) اعتبارًا من هذا العام، وفقًا لصحيفة “ميرور” البريطانية.

في موسمه الأول في سويسرا، فاز بالدوري السويسري الممتاز ولفت انتباه الكثيرين عندما سجل ضد توتنهام في ربع نهائي الدوري الأوروبي 2012-13، قبل أن يسجل ضد تشيلسي في نصف النهائي على ملعب ستامفورد بريدج.

في الموسم التالي، فاز بلقب الدوري السويسري للمرة الثانية وسجل مرة أخرى في شباك تشيلسي في مواجهات ذهاب وإياب في دور المجموعات لدوري أبطال أوروبا 2013-14، مما دفع النادي اللندني للتعاقد معه في يناير 2014 مقابل 11 مليون جنيه إسترليني. صفقة لمدة خمس سنوات.

ومع ذلك، لم تسر الأمور على ما يرام وبعد عام واحد تمت إعارته إلى فيورنتينا، حيث تألق بتسعة أهداف في 26 مباراة، قبل انتقال الإعارة إلى روما في الموسم التالي.

تبع ذلك تسجيل 44 هدفًا في موسمه الأول، ومنذ ذلك الحين، فاز صلاح بلقب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، ولقب دوري أبطال أوروبا، وكأس السوبر الأوروبي وكأس العالم للأندية، بينما كان يلعب في آنفيلد، وأصبح أحد أفضل اللاعبين في الدوري الإنجليزي.

كما قاد مصر إلى كأس العالم 2018 ولديه 45 هدفاً في 73 مباراة مع المنتخب الوطني.

أهداف صلاح البالغ عددها 140 في أكثر من 200 مباراة مع ليفربول مهمة لأنها أدت بلا شك إلى العديد من بنود مكافأة الأهداف ضمن عقده على مر السنين ومن المؤكد أنها ستزيد أرباحه السنوية في النادي.

لقد كان صاحب أعلى دخل في ليفربول بعقده البالغ 200 ألف جنيه إسترليني أسبوعيًا، لكن فيرجيل فان دايك أصبح الأعلى أجرًا بعقده الجديد مؤخرًا.

على الرغم من أنه من المتوقع أن يحتل صلاح المركز الأول مرة أخرى في عقد جديد يُتوقع أن يكون ذا قيمة ما لا يقل عن 300 ألف جنيه إسترليني أسبوعيًا، الأمر الذي سيربطه بالنادي على المدى الطويل.

جدير بالذكر أن النجم البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو يتصدر قائمة اللاعبين الأعلى أجرًا في العالم، يليه ليونيل ميسي، ثم نيمار دا سيلفا، ورابعًا كيليان مبابي، ومن ثم محمد صلاح، بحسب “فوربيس”.

Leeds United are currently in a bit of a crisis as injuries continue to rock the boat. As it stands, Marcelo Bielsa will be without Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper when his side hosts Burnley on Sunday.

This season has also seen the likes of Jamie Shackleton pick up an injury along with Adam Forshaw, who is yet to make a Premier League appearance with the Whites. Whilst fitness issues continue to damage the team, Bielsa will also be frustrated that he has so few options to rely on during this troublesome time.

For example, loan signing turned permanent Leeds ace Helder Costa has seriously declined since the Yorkshire outfit returned to England’s top flight.

The former Wolves man was a driving force in the Whites’ Championship-winning season. He featured in all but three league fixtures and contributed four goals and six assists, as per Transfermarkt. However, this time round, he has struggled to make the cut as the likes of Raphinha and even Ian Poveda have gotten into the team above him.

Speaking to Football Insider, Kevin Phillips said that he believes that Bielsa could choose to axe the winger in January if he continues to go under the radar. Costa has made just ten senior appearances since he signed for Leeds permanently on a £70,000 per week contract.

So not only does he have a hefty wage packet, but he is not proving his worth during such an important season in the club’s history. The Whites have been out of the Premier League for 16 years and now that they have finally returned, Bielsa cannot afford to lug along any deadweight players.

If Costa is not producing the results expected of him, he could find himself on the chopping block once the transfer window opens, which is not a situation many can say that they pre-empted.

Autor de um dos gols da goleada do Vasco sobre o Madureira no domingo, Andrezinho conversou com a imprensa na tarde desta segunda-feira, em São Januário, e falou sobre o fato de ter dedicado o gol que marcou na partida ao presidente Eurico Miranda. O jogador vascaíno destacou que o mandatário do clube passou por um momento complicado, mas sempre pensa no Vasco.

-Foi uma coisa espontânea da minha parte e do Nenê também. Já falei algumas vezes, tive uma surpresa muito grata quando conheci o presidente ano passado, da forma que ele trata o Vasco e protege todos. E passar pelo que passou, uma cirurgia complicada, depois de quatro, cinco dias, estava aqui dando apoio. E achei bom retribuir, olhei para cima e dediquei esse gol a ele. Tenho certeza de que ele ficou feliz com essa homenagem – afirmou antes de completar sobre a sua versão 2016:

-Tenho certeza que esse será um ano bastante feliz, não só para mim e sim o Vasco. O Vasco volta a treinar na manhã desta terça-feira, em São Januário. O próximo compromisso no Campeonato Carioca é quinta-feira, no Giulite Coutinho, contra o América, a partir das 19h30.

Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a summer move for Bayern Munich centre-back David Alaba, with the Austrian available on a free transfer at the end of this season.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that the Reds are very interested in signing the 28-year-old but will face fierce competition from Real Madrid for his signature.

When speaking to Give Me Sport, Romano said:

“For sure, they are trying for David Alaba as a free agent. As I say they are trying also with an important bid, they are in contact with his agent. They are among the five clubs trying for David Alaba but Real Madrid are leading the race so it’s difficult at this moment, but Liverpool are trying.

“So he’s an amazing player and it’s normal that his manager Pini Zahavi is working, talking with many clubs from Premier League, with Liverpool as we say, from La Liga with Real Madrid, from Bayern Munich because Bayern Munich has old people around the club saying they are trying really to keep him, they made an important bid.

“What Alaba is asking for is €12m per season as salary, with add-ons. So it’s a big salary and you have to pay commissions, huge commissions, to the agent when you sign these kinds of free agents so it’s not so easy to find the agreement. But at the moment, Madrid are leading the race.”

Jurgen Klopp confirmed recently that despite Liverpool’s current defensive crisis, they are ‘unlikely’ to sign a centre-back during this month’s transfer window emphasising that they are not keen to find a short-term solution.

Perhaps this is with the view of trying to sign Alaba, who has 73 caps for Austria, on a free transfer this summer, as he is 28-years-old and could potentially be a first-team regular with Liverpool for the next five or six years.

Alaba’s versatility could be hugely important for Klopp’s side next season, as we have already seen them struggle in defensive areas this season as a result of injuries, and the Austrian could easily fill in at centre-back, left-back or defensive-midfield if required and would be a much more reliable option than the injury-prone Joel Matip.

His performances in recent seasons emphasise that he has become a world-class centre-back with Die Roten, as he helped Hans Dieter-Flick’s side win the Champions League last season.

Sporting Director Michael Edwards must therefore do everything he can to convince the Bayern Munich man to follow Thiago’s suit and make the move to Anfield this summer.

– O time do Fluminense tem seis grandes zagueiros. A disputa no grupo é muito boa, sadia e só quem tem a vencer com isso é o time. Mas independentemente de quem vier a formar a zaga, o importante é ter um sistema defensivo forte. É preciso manter a regularidade. O jogo coletivo é o mais importante – ressaltou.

Dos zagueiros disponíveis no atual elenco, Marlon é um dos mais jovens, junto a Nogueira, que também foi criado em Xerém. Com nomes experientes como Henrique e Gum por perto, ele destacou o aprendizado e admitiu que busca sempre aprender com os jogadores mais rodados:

– É um prazer jogar ao lado de jogadores experientes. Também é muito bom o que está acontecendo comigo porque estou procurando aprender com eles, saber o que passaram no futebol. Quero estar perto, ouvir o que eles têm para ensinar. Fico muito feliz por trabalhar ao lado de atletas tão conceituados e rodados. São jogadores de muita qualidade – completou o zagueiro.

Contra o Madureira, Marlon será novamente titular, ao lado de Henrique – que retorna após cumprir suspensão. Com moral com Baptista e atuações seguras, 2016 pode ser o ano de consolidação de Marlon dentro do Fluminense. Em quase três anos de profissionais, foram 64 jogos e a promessa de um grande zagueiro estar surgindo.
