According to Get French Football News, Lille are not planning any more major incomings this during this transfer window, which should spell the end of their interest in Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

The Colombia international appeared close to a move to the Ligue 1 outfit earlier on this summer, with him reportedly even agreeing personal terms with Les Dogues.

However, it now seems that Lille, who will play in the Europa League this season, have given up in their pursuit of the forward, with them not planning to make any more big signings this summer.

It would be interesting to find out exactly how Steven Gerrard feels about this update – he may have mixed feelings. On the one hand, Morelos has 82 goals in 147 matches for the Gers, including five in nine already this season. He is a lethal forward, and at his best the Gers arguably do not have a better player in the squad.

On the other hand, the £13.5m-valued 24-year-old – as per Transfermarkt – has spoken about his interest in moving to a more prestigious league, and he even missed two games for the Gers when Gerrard chose not to select him. He may not stay beyond deadline day, but the speculation surrounding his future is unlikely to go away – the 54-time Scottish champions must make sure he does not become a distraction.

Either way, it looks as though Lille will not be his next destination.

According to Foot Mercato, Leeds United have entered the race to sign Bayern Munich starlet Michael Cuisance in this summer transfer window.

And now, French publication Foot Mercato claim that Leeds have set their sights on 21-year-old Cuisance, with Marcelo Bielsa said to have fallen in love with the talented midfielder.

The report adds that Bielsa has urged the club’s hierarchy to go after him, and that the Whites are now seriously considering sending a transfer proposal to Bayern to deliver his wishes.

Whilst Mesut Ozil may have dramatically fallen out of favour at Arsenal – he has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Gunners this season – there’s no questioning that the World Cup winner is the kind of play-maker that can unlock defences like the best of them (he has an impressive career average of three key passes per game).

In Cuisance, Leeds could land something similar, albeit much younger and without the massive wage packet the Arsenal man is earning. The Frenchman is the modern type of midfielder, technically gifted and with a bit of magic in his boots, with the Bundesliga’s official website saying he is most comparable in his style of play to Ozil.

Bayern’s sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, said: “Michael’s strengths are in his possession of the football. He has a great technique, a strong left foot and a great mentality.”

Whilst the 21-year-old’s former coach at Borussia Monchengladbach, Dieter Hecking, raved: “Michael is an exceptional player for his age. He’s a game-changer.”

If Leeds are looking for someone to add a touch of creativity and guile to their play, as well as ensure they are firmly looking towards the future, then Cuisance fits the bill to an absolute tee.

International breaks are an absolute nightmare for any club.

The team is split up at a vital part of the season and there is a risk of your star players getting injured in utterly meaningless games for their country.

Unfortunately for Leeds, the international break has brought about an injury crisis with both Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente picking up problems while playing for Scotland and Spain respectively.

This leaves United with something of a problem at the back as they only have one fit senior centre-half in the shape of Robin Koch, so they may have to call upon U23s players such as Oliver Casey or Pascal Struijk.

Struijk’s earlier performance this season indicates that bringing him in may not be the best idea as he and Koch conceded four against Liverpool on the opening day, but luckily there is another option.

Luke Ayling is adept at playing as a centre-back, but if he moves across to cover for the absentees that will leave a gap at right-back, which could be filled by a man who is yet to make his senior debut.

Cody Drameh is seemingly Leeds’ second-in-command in that position, being the only other notable natural right-back at the club after Bryce Hosannah went out on loan, and while Jamie Shackleton can play there, it’s not his natural position.

Drameh came in this summer for £1m, and it may be time for Bielsa to give the 18-year-old his debut in the game against Wolves.

The former Fulham man looks like a real talent, Manchester City were interested signing him and he has been compared to £25m-man Ryan Sessegnon in the past, so a Premier League debut against Wolves could be the perfect proving ground for him, and with the number of injuries in the defence, the door is wide open for him to make his first appearance.

O Fluminense já iniciou o planejamento do futebol do clube nos bastidores. Mas esse planejamento pode ter que ser detalhado em uma reunião do Conselho Deliberativo no fim do mês. Isto porque um dos conselheiros do Tricolor, Ademar Arrais Filho, apresentou um requerimento solicitando a presença de Peter Siemsen para explicar os planos para 2016.

Marcus Vinícius Ferreira Bittencourt, presidente do Conselho, recebeu o requerimento durante uma reunião no clube, na última segunda-feira. Neste encontro, Arrais, uma das lideranças da oposição, foi quem fez a entrega. Ele recolheu assinaturas de 31 conselheiros. De acordo com o artigo 28 do estatuto do clube, são necessárias pelo menos 30 para convocar o presidente. Caso o pedido seja aprovado, o encontro deve acontecer no dia 21.

– O ano está acabando e não temos informação alguma sobre o planejamento de 2016 e as mudanças que são pretendidas para um maior êxito. Os últimos três anos foram catastróficos para o futebol do Fluminense do ponto de vista esportivo e com imenso impacto financeiro para o Clube. Precisamos compartilhar informações, idéias, críticas, esclarecimentos, sugestões e até mesmo responsabilidades. Conselheiro também é dirigente e não pode ficar inerte para depois ficar reclamando quando os problemas surgem.
