كشفت صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية، أن نادي ريال مدريد ينوي الاستئناف على البطاقة الصفراء التي تلقاها البرازيلي كاسيميرو أمام أتالانتا في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ريال مدريد انتصر بالأمس على أتالانتا بهدف نظيف، في المباراة التي جمعت بين الفريقين على ملعب “أتليتي أزوري إيطاليا”، ضمن لقاءات ذهاب دور الـ16 بدوري الأبطال.

كاسيميرو كان حصل على بطاقة صفراء في الدقيقة 22، بعد تدخل من البرازيلي على دوفان زاباتا، ولن يكون قادرًا على التواجد في مباراة الإياب، حيث تلقى البطاقة الثالثة، ليتم إيقافه.

وبحسب الصحيفة، فإن مسؤولي ريال مدريد يرون أن كاسيميرو لم يتدخل بقوة على زاباتا، ولا يستحق الحصول على بطاقة صفراء.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن النادي الملكي سيقدم استئنافًا لدىّ الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم “يويفا”، من أجل إلغاء البطاقة الصفراء ورفع الإيقاف.

Josh Onomah could be in line for a Fulham debut this weekend as Scott Parker’s men take on Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Onomah joined the Whites in the deal that saw Ryan Sessegnon seal his move to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the English transfer window.

The 22-year-old was given a runout for Fulham’s Under-23 side as he built up his fitness ahead of the new season, scoring in a 3-1 defeat to West Brom’s Under-23s.

He was thought to be in contention in midweek, according to the Evening Standard – but was left out of the 18-man squad on Wednesday night before Fulham’s 4-0 thumping of Millwall.

Defender Denis Odoi is the only player listed as a doubt by Fulham ahead of the Forest clash as the Whites look to secure a fourth straight win.

That could suggest Onomah is in line to be considered for a debut appearance, with the youngster yet to make a senior start this season.

Having signed a three-year deal after signing from Spurs, Onomah highlighted his desire to make a ‘huge impact’ at Craven Cottage, as the club seeks promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Rotation could be on the mind of Parker with another midweek fixture approaching in the form of Tuesday’s League Cup tie against Southampton – and another Friday night kick-off with a trip to Cardiff to round off the season’s opening month.

Though such was the dominance of Fulham’s performance against Millwall, Parker may well be tempted to maintain the side that swept the Lions aside with consummate ease.

That said, Onomah’s versatility across the midfield could help his chances of securing a starting position, with the games coming thick and fast over the next few weeks as the season picks up pace.

Rangers finally confirmed the permanent signing of Ryan Kent on Monday evening, and Steven Gerrard now has everything he needs to atone for his shocking team selection in Sunday’s Old Firm.

What’s the word?

The dust has settled on Scotland’s biggest fixture and everyone can see the mistake Gerrard made.

The gaffer showed his side’s greatest rivals far too much respect, especially at home, benching star striker Alfredo Morelos and talented Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo, instead opting to start five central midfielders.

Ryan Jack, Steve Davis, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Scott Arfield are all dependable choices in the centre of the park, but playing all five of them was quite simply cowardly from the gaffer, focusing too much on how to stop Celtic rather than how to harm them.

He even admitted himself that he will take his medicine as regards to criticism of his team selection.

With the arrival of Kent though, he can make it up to the fans by unleashing a new-look attack packed with pace, skill and goals.

On the chalkboard

While he was quite poor in the away leg of the Europa League clash with Legia Warsaw, Ojo has made a great start to life at Ibrox.

The Liverpool starlet has scored four and added three assists in nine total games, wowing fans with his electric pace, one-on-one ability and directness.

These are all traits Kent possesses as well, as the 22 year-old fired in six strikes with nine assists last term, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year.

With Ojo on the right and Kent on the left, opposition teams will have to decide which full-back to help out by shifting more cover to their side, inevitably leaving one of the two speedy young wingers free to annihilate his marker in a one-on-one battle.

And with the defence stretched to one side or the other, Morelos is going to have an absolute field day in the middle.

The Colombian directly contributed to a stunning 41 goals in 48 games last season, and has somehow bettered that rate this time around, with ten goals and three assists in 11 games so far.

Gerrard has relied on a 4-3-3 system for most of the current campaign, and that exact set-up just so happens to be perfect for this front three, as none of them offer much defensive protection, meaning three industrious men in midfield is absolutely necessary.

Lucky for Rangers, they have plenty of those characters in the squad, as they found out to their own detriment on Sunday.

It is now up to the boss to show fans he has learned from his mistakes. Next time they face a tough test, whether it be in the Europa League or in December’s Old Firm, he should unleash this front three and never look back.

كشف راديو كتالونيا الإسباني، أن جوسيب ماريا بارتوميو رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي برشلونة، رفض الإدلاء بشهادته أمام الشرطة اليوم، بعد اعتقاله من قبل الشرطة.

وكانت الشرطة قد اعتقلت صباح اليوم الاثنين بارتوميو و3 مسئولين آخرين من منازلهم (طالع التفاصيل).

واتهم مجلس الإدارة السابق لنادي برشلونة بقيادة جوسيب ماريا بارتوميو، بأنه تعاقد مع شركة لإدارة حسابات وهمية عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لتوجيه الرأي العام ضد من يهاجمونهم، بما في ذلك نجوم النادي القدامى، وعلى رأسهم تشافي هيرنانديز.

وقالت الإذاعة إن بارتوميو احتفظ بحق عدم الإدلاء بأي شهادات أمام الشرطة، وهو نفس القرار الذي اتخذه جوميز بونتي وماسفيرير.

ومن جانبها، كشف شبكة “larazon” الكتالونية، أن بارتوميو سيقضى الليلة في الزنزانة ولن يعود إلى منزله، حيث سيظل في السجن خالص بمركز الشرطة.

ورفض كذلك محامي نادي برشلونة التعليق على القضية، وقال: “القضية سرية ولا يسمح لنا بالتدخل، الاحترام المطلق لعمل الشرطة”.

كما أكدت الإذاعة الكتالونية أن أوسكار جروا الرئيس التنفيذي للنادي الكتالوني سيتم إطلاق سراحه.

قررت إدارة لجنة المسابقات بالاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، إقامة مباراة الإسماعيلي والأهلي، على استاد برج العرب بالإسكندرية، بدلاً من إقامتها على ملعب الإسكندرية.

يلتقي الأهلي مع الإسماعيلي، مساء يوم الأربعاء المقبل، في المباراة المؤجلة بينهما من الجولة الثانية عشر من مسابقة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

Owen has recently emerged from his cave to promote the release of his latest book, ‘Reboot’. It means we, the public, have been afforded hours-worth of not-so-juicy, uncharismatic material from the man himself.

Scotland under 21s secured a dramatic away victory over their Croatian counterparts last night, leaving it until the last ten minutes to come behind and secure a 2-1 victory.

Rangers starlet, Ross McCrorie, is the under 21 captain and he took to Twitter to show his delight at the result.

McCrorie is currently on loan at Portsmouth after he was told playing time would be limited for this season. He, along with Glenn Middleton – who set up Scotland’s equaliser in spectacular fashion – are both highly regarded as long term prospects and have been sent out to gain much needed first team football.

Although regarded by Gerrard as a defensive midfielder, McCrorie has played at centre half and right back for the under 21s, a position he has also played at for Portsmouth during his loan spell.

Whatever position it is in, it’s clear that Rangers fans can’t wait to have him back at Ibrox next season and hold him dear to their hearts, congratulating him on a fine performance.

وأشار مصدر إلى أن الأقرب لتولي المهمة هو أرتور أوليفيرا مدرب حراس التعاون السعودي الذي طلبه باتريس كارتيرون وهناك تواصل معه لحسم الأمر، أو الاستقرار على وجود وليد إبراهيم.

يذكر أن الزمالك يستعد لمواجهة الترجي التونسي، يوم الثلاثاء المقبل، في إطار الجولة الرابعة من دور المجموعات لدوري أبطال إفريقيا.

قررت لجنة الانضباط بالاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، توقيع عقوبات انضباطية تتمثل في إيقاف وتغريم عدد من اللاعبين والإداريين بفريقي الشرقية للدخان والفيوم، وذلك بعد الأحداث التي شهدتها مباراة اليوم في دوري القسم الثاني.

وأحال اتحاد الكرة أحداث مباراة الشرقية للدخان مع الفيوم ضمن مسابقة دوري القسم الثاني إلى لجنة الانضباط بالاتحاد، والتي شهدت اعتداء من قبل لاعبي الفريقين والأجهزة الفنية.

كما قررت إدارة المسابقات نقل مباراتين للشرقية للدخان خارج ملعبه، وغرامة 5 آلاف جنيه لنزول الجهاز الفني والإداري أرض الملعب بدون إذن.

Tottenham Hotspur fans may well be on the verge of getting exactly what they’ve been demanding ahead of the Carabao Cup clash against Colchester United on Tuesday night.

It’s fair to say that Spurs have very rarely been the team they have shown they can be in the past so far this season, and their two recent results against Olympiacos and Leicester City sum things up.

However, they have the chance to bounce back against the League Two club, and it could allow Mauricio Pochettino to hand out a chance to some of the club’s younger players.

17-year-old striker Troy Parrott made a decent impression during pre-season and has made a big impact for the north London outfit’s youth teams, too.

As well as finding the net in the UEFA youth league match against Olympiacos last week, he also netted twice for the U23s in a 3-1 win against Manchester City last month, meaning he has three goals in just 151 minutes on the pitch, as per Transfermarkt.

In addition, he inspired the Republic of Ireland’s U21 team to a 2-1 victory against Sweden earlier this month with a second-half brace.

When the Colchester draw was made it led to plenty of calls from fans for him to be given a chance, and it does make sense in general with no out-and-out centre-forward competition for Harry Kane following the summer departures of Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente.

Football London report that Pochettino has admitted he is considering handing the teenager his debut against the League Two club, and that was further backed up by the fact he was left out of the squad as the U23s were beaten by their Blackburn Rovers counterparts on Monday.

It remains to be seen whether he will be in the starting XI or on the bench, but it does appear as though the wishes of Tottenham fans are going to be granted.

Should he play, it will be the moment of truth to see if he is ready to make an impact for the first team now.
