Maryan Shved scored once again this weekend to take his season total to 15, but where will the forward fit at Celtic?

Shved signed for Celtic in January for a fee in the region of £1.8m, per Transfermarkt, and was immediately loaned back to his former club Karpaty Lviv.

Since signing for the Bhoys, he has been in nothing short of sensational form for Karpaty, and has racked up 15 goals and four assists in all competitions this season.

But where will he fit in the squad when he arrives back at Parkhead this summer? There are a couple of possibilities…

A new friend for French Eddy?

Shved can play anywhere across the attack, but while he is known primarily as a winger, he is actually showing signs of becoming an excellent centre forward.

In 11 appearances as a number nine this year, he has seven goals and two assists, and his finishing is that of a seasoned striker – check out his goal from the weekend here as he stroked the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards with aplomb.

Odsonne Edouard, known affectionally by some fans as French Eddy, is of course the first choice up front for the Bhoys, but they are a little short of depth in the striking department, so could Shved be Edouard’s deputy or even his partner in crime?

New role on the left?

If Shved is to play as a winger, it will probably be the end of Scott Sinclair’s time as a Celtic regular.

James Forrest is absolutely un-droppable at the moment, and is probably only going to get better next season, so that leaves only the left-sided attacking position up for debate.

With neither of Jonny Hayes or Sinclair really making the spot their own, Shved has an excellent chance to come in and secure a starting spot almost immediately.

He has not played on the left wing this season, but drifting inside will not be a problem either as it will only open up more space for Kieran Tierney to overlap and create chances from the flank.

وأضاف: “رمضان صبحي كان ينتظر الظهور في الإعلام ولكن بعد انتهاء البطولة”.

وأردف: “أنا ضد الكلام الذي قاله رمضان صبحي بشأن رفضه توقيع عقوبة من قبل سيد عبد الحفيظ، هذا الكلام يسيء لك وليس للنادي، لأن الأهلي لم يتحدث في هذا الموضوع”.

وتابع: “أزمة سيد عبد الحفيظ أن اللاعبين يحزنون جدًا بسبب تسريب الأحاديث الخاصة بالتجديد، وبعض اللاعبين أبلغوني بذلك بشكل شخصي، هذا الأسلوب جعلهم يرحلون عن الأهلي”.

وأتم: “الأهلي لم يقصر في المفاوضات مع رمضان صبحي، ولكن الأزمة أن الأهلي لم يضع بند شراء في عقد رمضان، وهذا خطأ في المفاوضات، وأبلغت أمير توفيق بذلك”.

وأضاف: “شىء جيد أن يعرف الناس قيمتي، ويرغبون في التعاقد معي، وهذا يدل أني أؤدي بشكل جيد”.

وتابع:” هناك أندية خليجية تحدثت معي في الفترة الماضية معي عن طريق وكيل أعمالي ووكلاء لاعبين، ولكن أنا تركيزي مع الأهلي ومستمر معه، وأتمنى تحقيق البطولة الإفريقية لكي نهديها إلى مؤمن زكريا”.

وينتظر الأهلي الفائز من مباراة الزمالك والرجاء المغربي، لمواجهته في نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا المقرر له يوم 27 من نوفمبر.  

Spurs have once again had a fine season this year with Maurcio Pochettino’s men looking likely to clinch a Champions League spot once again.

The Londoners are now firmly settled in their new home and could well have a big summer ahead of them with regards to potential new signings.

However, keeping hold of some of their own star players could well be a big issue too for Pochettino to address, and with news emerging this weekend that Juventus could move for Toby Alderwiereld, it’s already clear Spurs have some big decisions on their hands.

The Belgian defender has long been courted by a number of top clubs across Europe, but he has remained integral to the cause for Spurs and he is the sort of player who they really don’t want to be losing.

Alderwiereld is a class act, and on his day can be one of the best defenders in the league, not to mention his threat going forward in terms of attacking set pieces.

Spurs need to be building for the future and making a run at the title now they have got their new stadium up and running, and they really need to be greeting Juventus with a firm no if the Italian giants do make their move.

With the promise of big signings along with a squad which is already full of potential, Alderwiereld might just consider this enough of a reason to stay put and make a sure Spurs finally see some success in terms of trophies under Pochettino.

Like the previous one, this campaign has also been difficult for Southampton supporters.

Though things have drastically improved under Ralph Hasenhuttl, it has been another season where the St. Mary’s faithful have had to watch their side battle to beat the drop.

Having sold their best players transfer window after transfer window, though, the above probably would not have come as a surprise to the pessimists supporting the south coast club.

For them and the rest of Southampton’s support, however, there is now reason to be optimistic going into the next transfer market and season.

According to the Daily Mirror (via Tribal Football), the Saints are looking to bring in RB Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin in a move that would reunite the 21-year-old with Hasenhuttl.

Augustin is unlikely to come on the cheap, with the Daily Mail reporting back in February that Leipzig will demand around £35m for their player.

But even so, the Frenchman is exactly the kind of marquee signing Southampton supporters deserve.

They have had to watch star names leave time and again while also being forced to welcome the arrivals of some very lacklustre additions along the way.

A lot still obviously needs to happens in order for Augustin to join Southampton, but it is about time the Premier League outfit start targeting players of the France U21 international’s quality.

ونشرت صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية تصريحات بيكيه عقب المباراة، وقال: “المباراة كانت معقدة وفقدنا السيطرة، في الشوط الثاني لم يكن لدينا الكثير من راحة البال وأفضل شيء كان النقاط الثلاث”.

وأضاف: “كانت هناك أوقات لم يكن الضغط فيها جيدًا تمامًا، لم نقم بالتنسيق الكامل، على الرغم من أن المنافس لديه غيابات كثيرة، إلا أن جميع المنافسين يتمتعون بجودة عالية على مستوى دوري الأبطال”.

وأردف بيكيه: “في دوري الأبطال نتمتع بديناميكية جيدة، لكن في الليجا علينا أن نقدم أفضل من ذلك، أنا مقتنع أننا سنفعل ذلك لأن المشاعر أفضل، هناك شباب جدد يجلبون الحيوية إلى الفريق”.

واستطرد مدافع البلوجرانا بشأن مجلس الإدارة الجديد بعد استقالة جوزيب ماريا بارتوميو: “النادي كما هو الآن”.

وأوضح: “هناك تغييرات كانت ضرورية، كان من الواضح أن الفريق كان يتراجع وكل عام كنا أسوأ قليلاً”.

وأكد: “لدينا القليل من الوقت، لكننا بحاجة إلى التحسن، في برشلونة لا توجد سنة انتقالية أبدًا دون ألقاب، هناك مجلس إدارة جديد ومع هذا ستكون هناك تغييرات في الأشهر المقبلة”.

وعن ترشح برشلونة للتتويج بدوري الأبطال، شدد: “من الطبيعي ألا نكون مرشحين لدوري أبطال أوروبا بعد السنوات الماضية، يمكننا فقط مواصلة العمل”.

واختتم: “لاعبو الزمالك إذا كانوا في قمة مستواهم سيحققون البطولة والنادي في حاجة إلى الفوز ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا، والجيل الحالي هو الأفضل وبالتالي يجب أن يتوج مجهوده وإنجازاته بتحقيق اللقب الإفريقي والغائب منذ فترة كبيرة”.

ومن المقرر أن يستضيف استاد القاهرة الدولي مباراة الأهلي والزمالك في السابع والعشرين من نوفمبر الجاري لحسم الفائز بلقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

Injuries to Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren at different stages of this season have seen Joel Matip benefit immensely to form a strong partnership with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence.

Matip found it very, very difficult to secure regular minutes in the early stages of the 2018-19 campaign, but he has been more in favour in recent months.

He is not a regular in the starting XI by default and his run in the side of late has emerged by virtue of necessity more than anything, but the impeccable form he has showcased hints that Gomez will have a tough time forcing his way back into Klopp’s first choice XI.

And along with a number of others in a red shirt, Matip was outstanding in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.

The Liverpool fans have been on social media discussing the 27-year-old’s future at the club, and it has thrown up an interesting debate.

Indeed, whilst there are those who feel that Matip – valued at £18m by Transfermarkt – has more than earned his position in the squad, others believe that the Reds still need to strengthen defensively when this summer’s transfer window opens for business.

Jay Rodriguez had a terrific season, there’s no doubting that. Alongside the mercurial Dwight Gayle, he scored 22 goals as West Brom came within five penalty kicks of a place at Wembley.

For Albion’s campaign to end on that note was extremely unfortunate, but when it mattered most, one of their clutch players failed to show up.

Rodriguez’s work rate was exemplary against Aston Villa last Tuesday night. However, barring that, he was incredibly poor.

Tasked with leading the line with both Gayle and Hal Robson-Kanu suspended, the club have arguably never needed him more.

On this occasion, the prolific frontman was anything but assured, failing to find the net from the two shots he had.

It may seem harsh to criticise the 29-year-old but it was a display far from his best and it proved costly. West Brom knew they needed goals but devoid of creativity, they couldn’t get over the line.

Rodriguez was arguably a victim of Albion’s lack of quality and absentees elsewhere.

Matt Phillips and Jacob Murphy struggled once more and they failed to find a spark capable of providing their striker with the chances he needed.

The former Southampton man was essentially a passenger throughout the match, boasting a quite frankly awful pass percentage and only touching the ball on 17 occasions throughout the 93 minutes he was on the pitch.

His inability to win aerial duels also laid a poor platform for his team. Against Tyrone Mings and Axel Tuanzebe he never really had a chance, such was their physicality.

Without Gayle next to him, Rodriguez looked lost, appearing isolated as he cut a frustrated figure.

For someone who has been so good all season, it was a bitterly disappointing display. On Tuesday, West Brom needed someone to stand up and grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

Technically, Rodriguez was their best hope. Instead, he failed to provide and as a result, another season in the Championship looms for the Baggies.

وأشارت إلى أن المسؤولين في باريس سان جيرمان يركزون بشكل أكبر على موازنة الأرقام، ويتوقع النادي خسائر كبيرة قد تصل إلى 120 مليون يورو، ولا يمكن التعاقد مع راموس في ظل هذه الظروف.

وأكدت الصحيفة الفرنسية، أن باريس سان جيرمان إذا تمكن من تسوية هذه الحسابات وكان لديه مجال اقتصادي مناسب لدخول الميركاتو في نهاية الموسم، سيكون ذلك لمحاولة الاحتفاظ بـ كيليان مبابي، وليس التعاقد مع راموس.
