– Sentimos um tremor muito forte, uma sensação terrível. A cama começou a balançar de um lado para o outro. Vi os lustres também balançando. Imaginei logo, Já tinha passado por isso três vezes. Mas ontem (sexta-feira, dia 8) foi forte. Corri para o armário, peguei meus celulares e passaporte e saí correndo, chamando os atletas para que descessem pela escada em busca de um abrigo – disse o coordenador-técnico das Seleções de Base da CBF, o ex-jogador Branco.

O lateral Abner contou que o susto deu lugar à necessidade de tranquilizar parentes e amigos. 

– Naquele momento, tomamos um susto. Porém, estamos em segurança e isso nos conforta. A gente está falando sobre vidas, um terremoto, uma tragédia, nunca é fácil falar sobre isso, e agora o adversário do próximo amistoso e o próprio jogo ficam de lado. Na hora, pensamos logo em buscar abrigo para ficar em segurança. Em seguida, no meu caso, procurei contato com os familiares e amigos para tranquilizá-los.

Na manhã deste sábado (9), o meia Paulinho também deu detalhes do evento e relatou outros momentos em que passou por isso.

– Eu estava deitado e comecei a sentir a cama tremer. Levantei assustado, olhei para o abajur e vi que estava balançando. Aí, saí do quarto. Foi um susto e buscamos segurança. Fomos muito bem tratados e orientados e seguimos para a área da piscina por precaução, é um lugar mais aberto. Graças a Deus estamos em segurança – contou o meia-atacante antes de completar:

Segundo as agências de notícias internacionais, já são mais de mil mortos pela tragédia no Marrocos. Os jogadores prestaram solidariedade pelo momento que o país africano está passado.

– Infelizmente já sabemos do número de mortos … é algo muito grave, a gente fica sentido e presta nossa solidariedade a todo povo marroquino e aos que estão ajudando na busca dessas pessoas – declarou Paulinho.

وانتقد كروس عدم وجود بديل لراحل إينيجو مارتينيز: “لقد ذكرت ذلك بالفعل حينها، كان إينيجو مارتينيز مهمًا للغاية، في العام الماضي كان قلب دفاع برشلونة بأفضل مستوى له وكان الأكثر تأثيرًا في توزيع الكرة في كافة أرجاء الملعب، لم يكن الأسرع لكنه كان مدافعًا ممتازًا ولديه طريقة لعب رائعة”.

وأردف: “ضد ريال مدريد كان غيابه ملحوظًا عندما عانى الفريق تحت الضغط العالي المتواصل الذي نفذه اللاعبون، لم يخرجه فليك من الملعب وهذا كان له أثر على النتيجة”.

Manchester United and Ruben Amorim bounced back with a win against Sunderland on Saturday, and a key update has now emerged over the manager’s future.

Admittedly, opting to relieve managers of their duties over the years hasn’t necessarily made Manchester United a better side. Still, pressure is continuing to grow on Amorim as he attempts to arrest his side’s slump in form.

Gareth Southgate has been linked to the Old Trafford hotseat and could be a safe option in light of his steady progress with England, and Peter Crouch believes that if a change is coming in the dugout, the ex-Three Lions boss is an ideal fit to step in.

He said via The Mirror: “I love Gareth (and) he’s had some stick unfairly. He took us to the finals. It was frustrating, you know, not to get over the line. If he won one game, then would there be a statue of him.

“He’s gone from a statue to people thinking he’s not good enough for the Man United job. It’s such a fine line in football. I think he’s someone that could build something there. You keep getting managers over that are here for the short term, like I think Gareth Southgate is someone who can build something big.”

Reportedly, Manchester United would need to pay £12 million to sack Amorim, which would be a hefty price to pay if they decide he is not the right man to take them forward, and a cost which they can now avoid at least a little longer after Saturday’s rather comfortable 2-0 victory against the Black Cats at Old Trafford.

Either way, there needs to be some clarity one way or another; something that Ornstein now looks to have provided in his latest update on events at Old Trafford.

David Ornstein shares how Man Utd feel about Ruben Amorim

Speaking to NBC Sports, Ornstein made it clear that Man Utd are keeping faith in Amorim and both parties want to keep moving forward in the right direction, while he still retains the backing of the squad.

He said: “Ruben Amorim is under major pressure, but I think most of that pressure is applied on him by himself, as well as the burden of being Manchester United manager. Manchester United themselves, as I understand, they’re not planning to sack him. They don’t want or intend to, and I don’t think he’s planning to walk away from this.

“Last season, I think he really felt the strain, and people I speak to say he was questioning if he could succeed there. But I do think, incrementally, there is a bit of improvement felt, however small, especially with some of the new signings, and it is still very early.”

Later, he added: “Results will need to improve; we can’t get away from that, and we know how this industry operates, but I think they would like to give him more time.”

Ultimately, giving managers more time is a game of risk versus reward. Manchester United know that the grass isn’t necessarily always greener, but the impact of a bounce under a new coach could also spark their season into life.

There will be plenty of conflicting opinions on Amorim’s future, though he appears to be safe for now as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS favour continuity over instability.

The next edition of the ILT20 has been brought forward to a December-January window with an eye on avoiding the cluttered January-February window as well as finishing up well before the men’s T20 World Cup, which will run from February to March.The ILT20, UAE’s franchise-based league, is three seasons old and has always been played at the start of the year, clashing almost entirely with South Africa’s SA20 and parts of the Australian BBL and Bangladesh’s BPL and, before this year, the PSL in Pakistan. This time, though, it will begin on December 2, 2025 and run till January 4, 2026. December 2 is also the UAE’s national day – Eid Al Etihad. There will be a slight overlap with the SA20, though, which starts on December 26, and a similar – or somewhat bigger – overlap with the BBL.”Following extensive discussions with all our stakeholders, we believe the 2 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 tournament window is ideal for the DP World International League T20 Season 4,” ILT20 chief executive David White said in a statement. “The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup begins in early February, hence it was important for us to start and finish Season 4 well before the tournament, as it will allow the players playing both the DP World ILT20 and the T20 World Cup to prepare for national duty.”In addition, we feel that the December-January window will provide the teams with the best opportunity to access a bigger pool of players.”It’s not clear yet if this is a one-off or will be the regular window for the tournament going forward.ILT20 chairman and Emirates Cricket Board vice-chairman Khalid Al Zarooni said, “The UAE National Day is the day where we celebrate the United Arab Emirates, which is home to people from around the world, including millions of diehard cricket fans. West Ham United have replaced Graham Potter with Nuno Espírito Santo after agreeing a deal with the ex-Nottingham Forest boss earlier this week, but there was another intriguing option on the free agent market they ultimately failed to consider.

Chairman David Sullivan had been in favour of appointing ex-manager Slaven Bilic on an interim basis until the end of the season (Pete O’Rourke), and the Croatian was even planning his coaching staff in the event he was chosen for the Hammers hot seat (ExWHUemployee).

However, despite some concerns surrounding the finances of a deal for Nuno (Sport Boom), the Portuguese has now won the West Ham job race and took charge of his first training session on Saturday afternoon — just hours after the club announced Potter’s departure.

He’s also put pen to paper on a multi-year contract, showing West Ham’s faith in the tactician.

The arrival of Nuno comes after his fairytale 2024/2025 season at Forest, where he transformed the Tricky Trees from relegation contenders to Europa League participants in under two years.

This culminated in Evangelos Marinakis handing the 51-year-old a new three-year contract in June, but a tense public fallout with the Forest chief meant that Nuno was forced to wave goodbye to the City Ground much sooner than he anticipated.

Forest’s loss was West Ham’s gain, and there are many reasons why Nuno could end up being a very smart appointment.

Under Nuno, Forest became a lot more robust defensively and adopted a clear counter-attacking style, all whilst fixing their set-piece issues — which is something West Ham have been a real victim of this season.

Having conceded 7 of their 13 Premier League goals so far from corners, Nuno’s arrival could work wonders to solve this very concerning problem, and the fact he was a free agent meant the east Londoners didn’t have to pay a compensation fee.

Out of the fellow free agents linked with a move to the London Stadium — a list including Bilic, Gary O’Neil, Michael Carrick and Sean Dyche — Nuno’s name was clearly the most appealing, both internally and outside Rush Green.

However, Sullivan, Karren Brady and the board failed to consider one name — Sergio Conceicao.

West Ham missed out on appointing Sergio Conceicao

The 50-year-old left AC Milan at the end of June and is still a free agent now, meaning he was potentially up for grabs.

According to some reports, Conceicao privately expressed a preference to join West Ham last year, back when he was mentioned as one of the candidates to succeed Julen Lopetegui, and was regularly linked before the club went for Potter.

It begs the question, why didn’t West Ham consider him this time around?

Conceicao has 12 major trophies to his name after a glittering career abroad, including an Italian Super Cup triumph from his time at Milan, with the Portuguese also winning 11 pieces of silverware during his famed FC Porto era.

The coach, who once drew comparisons to José Mourinho, won three Primeira Liga titles with Porto and the 21/22 Manager of the Year award. Ultimately, his failure to qualify for Europe with Milan last season, combined with losing the Coppa Italia final to Bologna, cost him his job.

Nevertheless, he was definitely an option worth looking at, and Conceicao has attracted praise for his fast and aggressive style — which embodies the ‘West Ham way’ far more than Nuno’s pragmatic approach.

West Ham did have more candidates like Conceicao available to them, but perhaps the major worry of relegation among shareholders motivated the club into making a swift, and perhaps trigger-happy, decision.

Lateral-esquerdo – Ayrton Lucas (Flamengo): Nesta temporada irregular do Flamengo, é o jogador mais constante e talvez seja o melhor brasileiro da posição. Esteve na última convocação.

Volante – João Gomes (Wolverhampton): Saiu do Brasil como uma grande promessa e hoje já está bem conceituado na principal liga de futebol do mundo. É jovem, poderia entrar na lista pensando no futuro.

Volante – Danilo (Nottingham Forest): Destaque no Palmeiras, foi para a Europa e demorou um pouco a despontar, mas está crescendo de produção e seria uma novidade interessante para próximos anos.

Meia – Ganso (Fluminense): É um oásis em uma posição que praticamente está extinta no futebol brasileiro e trabalha com Diniz, responsável pelo seu “ressurgimento”. Na ausência de Paquetá, poderia ser lembrado.

Atacante – Vitor Roque (Athletico-PR): Contratado pelo Barcelona, está em contagem regressiva para deixar o Athletico-PR, mas já é uma realidade no futebol brasileiro. Poderia ter uma chance como novidade na lista.

Manchester United have now joined the race for a “sensational” Champions League midfielder, with manager Ruben Amorim personally an admirer.

After scoring in the shock 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City in 2024, few would’ve predicted Kobbie Mainoo’s Man United career would pan out the way it has, with the midfielder falling down the pecking order considerably.

Former striker Teddy Sheringham has made it clear he doesn’t believe Amorim is a fan of the youngster, saying: “He’s [Mainoo] obviously not Amorim’s type of player. He’s very casual on the ball, but obviously plays the game in his own way. I’m not saying that in a derogatory manner; I’m saying that he has a certain style that Amorim obviously doesn’t appreciate.

The 20-year-old has featured for just 113 minutes in the Premier League this season, and it has now been suggested he could be the next player to leave United and go on to flourish elsewhere.

With Mainoo’s future up in the air, the Red Devils are now looking to sign a new young English midfielder, according to a report from BILD (via Sports View), which names Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham as a target.

Amorim is said to be a fan of Bellingham’s robustness and physicality, with Man United now plotting a move for the former Sunderland man, who is a few months younger than Mainoo. There is set to be competition for his signature, with Crystal Palace also named as potential suitors.

The 20-year-old only arrived at Dortmund in the summer, joining in a package widely reported to be worth £31m, but his start to life in Germany has been far from ideal, with his dad causing controversy after entering the dressing room after a draw against St. Pauli in August.

Given that Jude Bellingham has already established himself as one of the world’s best midfielders at just 22, the Dortmund youngster is likely to be feeling the pressure, although it is important to remember he is still just 20-years-old.

Much like his brother, the starlet has been impressing at senior level since a very young age, with journalist Josh Bunting hailing him for a top display for Sunderland just over two years ago.

That said, Bellingham would be a risky signing for Man United, given that he is yet to establish himself at the top level, making two Champions League appearances, and it may be a better idea to bring in a midfielder who has more experience.

وتقام بطولة السوبر المصري خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 9 نوفمبر المقبل، بمشاركة أربعة فرق هي: الأهلي (بطل الدوري)، الزمالك (بطل كأس مصر)، سيراميكا كليوباترا (بطل كأس الرابطة)، وبيراميدز الذي يشارك بدعوة من اللجنة المنظمة.
